Frequently Asked Questions

What is a typical visit like?
The length of the visit and types of services rendered vary from patient to patient. Depending on your health needs, personal requests and time restrictions, your visit could be different from someone else's. Although most visits utilize a combination of therapies, many patients are on a tight schedule and prefer brief visits. The typical visit lasts 5-15 minutes. Each encounter may include a brief assessment, chiropractic spinal adjustments, soft tissue work, stretching and strengthening exercises.
What types of chiropractic services do you perform?
Most chiropractic services help with minor injuries, mild flare-ups, chronic pain or dysfunction and maintenance-oriented care. Severe injuries such as auto and work related accidents receive more advanced diagnostic and treatment services like x-rays and ultrasound. Below, you may find a list of offered services and brief description of what they entail:
Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments
The chiropractor's specialty; adjusting the spine in the right area with the right direction and the right force to restore motion and decrease pain.
Activator Method
The activator tool delivers spinal adjustments via a light, quick, spring-loaded tap to restore joint motion, activate muscles and help relieve your pain.
Drop Table Method
This method uses a table piece under the pelvis to generate more force using less power. The table piece props up one inch, suspended by tension. When the tension's threshold is exceeded, the table piece drops down one inch to a complete stop in a split second. This is where the force is generated. It wasn't driving 90 mph that totaled your car, it was suddenly going 0 mph. Patients barely notice the adjustment happen but notice a world of difference when they stand up.
Soft Tissues Manipulation
Active Release Technique, Myofascial Release Technique,
Physical Therapy
Most chiropractors offer some form of physical therapy as it is essential to musculoskeletal function and health. The physical therapy you receive at Kroft Chiropractic is the same therapy you would receive with a physical therapist, if not better! Chiropractors are extremely well trained in physical therapy and rehabilitation. A chiropractor can do everything a physical therapist can do but a physical therapist cannot do what a chiropractor does.
